Aurea Williamson

Family encouragement and a Rose Bruford course “to see what I was capable of” has led to a complete career change in 2019. Since then screen work has included playing a psychopathic ghost (VR horror, The Haunting of Nanny Murphy; Adrift Pictures) and a churchwarden (feature film, The Last Rite; Nocturnal Pictures on Amazon Prime) as well as a number of short films.

Favourite stage work includes Rebel Boob (post verbatim multimedia show about life after cancer with Speak Up Act Out which has been performed to both public and GP trainees; in London and southeast venues as well as Amsterdam Fringe), being an environmental activist (Accidental Birth of an Anarchist; Rising Tides and Unmasked Theatre), and most recently national touring two shows with Shooting Star Entertainments and multi-roling in Before The World Ends; Open Handed Theatre as part of Brighton Femfest and a rehearsed reading at The Space Theatre, London (Rising Tides).

I like to be busy and am directing for the first time a local community show as well as training with Directors Cut.When not performing I could be found trying to dance or play the piano, hiking, DIYing or enjoying many other aspects of outdoor life.

This is my fourth time performing at Brighton Fringe and my first with Bacchae Theatre and I’m looking forward to all the challenges that may come and bringing this wacky play to life.
